Story
My name is Keval Patel
I am running the 2026 Brighton Marathon in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
I work for Snap-on who have partnered with Prostate Cancer UK and pledged to raised a generous amount this year and next.
Running the Brighton Marathon will help raise money for a great cause which impacts 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle or mate.
Your donations are extremely appreciated and will go towards helping fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
I have some short history with long distance running; mainly during COVID. However the last 4 years it has been non existent.
I used to be a keen gym goer and played football regularly but the last 2.5 years this has declined rapidly.
During this period I have struggled with consistency, fitness and get to a physique I am happy with.
I feel I used becoming a dad as an excuse to let myself go.
I needed something to change in my mindset so I’m hoping doing my first marathon will give me the drive and motivation to achieve my goals.
In an interview I was asked 11 years ago what my greatest achievement to date was; I couldn’t answer it and still don’t feel like I can…on the 12th April 2026 in Brighton I would like to have the answer to that question!
Thank you
Keval Patel
