Rainbow Trusts Grate48 offers you the chance to climb one of the UKs tallest buildings, with 48 floors and over 1,200 steps with incredible views across the City! This is only the fourth time this challenge has ever taken place!

Story

Ok so the challenge is punchy and the timelines are short.  I have no doubt that I have bitten off more than I can chew but that's the point of fundraising for charity right!?

The ambition is to climb the cheesegrater building, all 1,200 steps of it, as many times as possible, with a pinnacle target of 8 times equating to a vertical mile. Emphasis on the vertical more than the mile!!

I signed up two weeks before the event and will use the stair climber in the gym for the first time as part of my 'training' otherwise a lot of grit and determination and a whole load of jelly babies.  How hard can it be!?

It is genuinely for an awesome cause though...Rainbow Trust enables families who have a child with a life-threatening illness to make the most of their time together. Each family is paired with an expert Family Support Worker who provides practical and emotional support to all members of the family, where they need it, for as long as they need it. When everything is turned upside down, a dedicated Family Support Worker becomes a trusted and constant person in family life. £130 would enable Rainbow Trust to provide 5 hours of support. All donations would be GRATEEELY appreciated.
