We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

NEWSFLASH: My employer has agreed to match all donations up to a total of £250, so everything you give will be doubled!

In September I'm running my first ever half marathon. That's thirteen miles, around 21 kilometres, or, in other words, a Big Scary Distance.

Which is why I'm asking for your help. No, I don't need a psychiatrist, though that was a good guess. I need you to sponsor me. Pretty please! Because the thought of raising money for a worthy cause will help me keep putting one foot in front of the other around a very large chunk of Bristol.

My chosen charity is Cancer Research UK. Chances are you know someone whose life has been affected by cancer. I certainly do. And I'd like to help present and future cancer sufferers.

So, bearing in mind I didn't even do GCSE biology, I think we should get together and give some money to people who actually know what they're doing, to look into the causes of cancer, and try to find new ways of fighting it. Cancer Research UK will do that.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
