We are running the British 10k, in memory of our beautiful mum, sister, sister in law, auntie and friend, who we sadly lost on the 22nd August 2017, we have decided to take part in a 10k run, raising money for Teens Unite.
Choosing Teens Unite as our Charity was an easy decision, it’s a charity close to all our hearts. Teens Unite helps children with cancer, which Toni and her family sadly, know too well.
Toni was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in January 2017, a cancer of the bones and a disease that is commonly found in children 10-20 years old. Toni was only 40 years old when she was taken from us, it was the fifth time she came face to face with cancer. Toni was first diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma at the age of 13, then again 7 years later, undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and several operations.
Toni went on to live her life to the full, marrying Robert, and defying doctors she went on to have 3 beautiful children. Living in remission is something that always hung over Toni, but she never openly showed this.
In 2013, then again in 2014 those fears returned, luckily on these occasions it was caught early, operated on and removed.
Toni was loved by everyone, and will be remembered for her positive attitude, her love for life and above all, her beautiful smile, she was an example to everyone she met of how to live life.
So please dig deep and donate to help these unfortunate children and their families fight this awful disease through Teens Unite’s fantastic work.
