Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Brits for Brains JustGiving page.

We're a team of 3 climbers (Wayne, Steven & Chris), supported by their driver, Lynsey, who will be completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge on 20th-21st July 2019, climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24hrs.  Beginning the challenge with Ben Nevis at Fort William in Scotland, they will move straight on to Scafell Pike in the Lake District for an overnight climb in pitch darkness.  Not content with a conventional trek, the team will be completing this challenge in Wales by climbing Snowdonia via its most difficult route - traversing the infamous and deadly Crib Goch; a knife edge ridge with a 2,000ft drop on either side.

The challenge will begin at around noon on Sat 20th July 2019 with a deadline to complete before noon the following day.

We are aiming to raise £3,000 to support the Brain Tumour Charity in its efforts to fund pioneering R&D, promote the early diagnosis of brain tumours in order to maximise survivability and provide vital support to families dealing with the outcomes of this tragic illness.

The challenge will be officially timed and recorded using GPS and registered with the N3PC organisation.  Registration details are here:

https://www.threepeakschallenge.net/221344/brits-for-brains

The costs of the challenge (accommodation, travel / fuel, registration, etc.) will be entirely funded by the climbing team.  100% of all donations will be going to the Brain Tumour Charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
