30 Veganuary supporters are heading to India for a five-day cycling adventure to raise funds for our work creating a kinder world for animals and a healthier planet!

Story

Hi mates,

The Marmalade Pope has signed up to a 250 mile charity bike ride across India over five days in February. The idea being to raise £1000 for Veganuary at the same time! Veganuary’s mission is to reduce the suffering of animals by inspiring people to try vegan in January, and throughout the rest of the year. They offer great support and it's something close to my heart as I have been a vegan for 11 years, aren't I great?! I will be doing this with 40 other vegan cyclists, I've said vegan a lot already. Bear (it's a vegan bear) in mind I am not a cyclist. I have done three x 25 mile bike rides since 2012 and currently no training. I will train. In order to raise this £1000 I am gonna stick with what I am reasonably good at.

On Boxing Day of this year, the Marmalade Pope will run a hungover marathon dressed as a giant broccoli around Petersfield. It's not an official race but I'll record it all and stick it on social media / Strava. To help this daftness, my lovely mate, Ellen, is making me a broccoli costume, my lovely mate, Russell Taysom, has drawn me a promotional poster and my lovely mate, Dan's Tent, has given me a bike to practice on. A massive thank you to them!

So, when you're stuffing Brussel Sprouts up your bum and watching Home Alone 72 on Boxing Day, I will be running around town for the animals. Maybe being a little bit sick. If anyone wants to run with me, even a little bit of the way, then please get in touch.

Please donate and help me hit my £1000 target. Just to be clear, I am running a marathon so I can do a 250 mile bike ride, so we can promote veganism more to the masses. Even if you think vegans are all quinoa eating weirdos, then you can still donate because I am an idiot for doing this.

Thank you! I love you! Go vegan (if you want to).
