Story

For the last few years Brodies have been supporting the Edinburgh Women's Aid Christmas appeal to provide presents and food/toiletry donations to the women and children living in their refuges across the city so they have something to look forward to.  This year, because of COVID, Women's Aid have had to think differently.

Since the start of the pandemic, there has been an increase in instances of domestic abuse and a surge in demand for their services.  In addition, financial security, social distancing and limited access to friends and family have made both escaping from an abuser and recovering from abuse more frightening and difficult.  Women and children whose lives are affected need support now more than ever.

This year, instead of asking for gifts, they are inviting us to make a small financial donation of £15 or more per child.  With our help we can ensure that the women and children they support have a brighter Christmas.

Please remember to include your name (first name and first letter of surname or full surname) with your donation and any message you would like to send to the family you are supporting.

£10 would support the cost of a Christmas meal for a woman and her child living in a refuge.

£25 would support the cost of presents, activities and trips over the holiday period for a child.

£50 would support the costs of food and essentials for a woman and child living in a refuge over Christmas.
