With your help we can fund the UK's first Rare Diseases Centre for children like our little stars

Story

Hi guys, thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When embarking on a new life being a mum you never anticipate that your child may be born with any kind of illness or condition . At 7months old our Brodie underwent corrective surgery for the rare birth defect Craniosynastosis.
The shape of Brodie's head changed dramatically in his first few months of life as the sutures of his skull and soft spot fused prematurely leaving his brain squashed with intense intracranial pressure buillt up within his skull cavity. By undergoing a six hour surgery where his skull was completely removed and remodelled Brodie now has a chance of a better life and we cannot thank Birmingham children's hospital enough for all their support before during and since his operation it truly is a remarkable place.
Brodie still attends the hospital and will undergo eye surgery later this year under the same cranio facial team.
And to show a bit of appreciation I'm going to attempt to run a 10k!!!! This is more than a challenge for me I'm absolutely petrified. All I can ask if you can to dig deep and help me raise a small amount for a well diserved charity. The stars of Steele house lane is a campaign within the hospital where they are trying to build a centre of excellence for rare diseases building upon the knowledge they have, creating awareness, and making the prognosis for children like Brodie much better in the future
