Brighton Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Hello all, I am running the Brighton Marathon on September 12th in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

This cause is particularly close to my heart as my mum has been living with MS for over 15 years, along with over 130,000 other people in the U.K. currently.

Multiple sclerosis is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.

Researchers believe by 2025 they can slow down or halt progression of the disease for all individuals with MS.

However, the MS Society of course needs the funding of the common person to keep this progress going. Please donate here if you can. If you can’t or don’t want to donate that’s entirely up to you, doesn’t make you a bad person.

Thanks for reading, enjoy the day
