Story
'Education is one of the most powerful things you can use to change the world.'
It is so easy to take a good education for granted. I have always been so fortunate with the education I have received and have always loved learning, but it is now time for me to give something back.
Working with 'Warwick in Africa', I am going to be teaching maths in some of the poorest parts of Tanzania for 6 weeks in summer. There is no question that a good education is one of the most powerful liberators from poverty and our aim is to offer opportunities to children that they may never get otherwise.
Alongside other student volunteers, I will be aiming to have a motivational impact on learners within the schools and in many cases, awaken new potential and ambition beyond the classroom. Since 2006, 465,000 learners have benefitted from Warwick in Africa and I am hoping to add to this. However, a little help is needed from you.
All donations help to maintain and run the ongoing work that Warwick in Africa do. Whether that be upholding the foundations of the charity, helping to send volunteers out to Africa, the coaching and mentoring on African teacher or paying for school resources. Everything helps.
Warwick in Africa is such an inspiring charity and really focuses on the value of education. It relies solely on sponsors and donations to keep transforming children's lives. So if you can spare a few pounds, it would be greatly appreciated.
