Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
Chris and Bronwen are walking the Cape Wrath Trail, a 230-mile route across Northwest Scotland, to support the John Muir Trust and help raise awareness of the importance of protecting wild places.
The Cape Wrath Trail is known as the toughest long-distance walk in the UK, and although we've taken on various 'Hare-Brained Schemes' in the past, this is by far our biggest adventure yet! We'll be trekking and wild camping across the wildest, remotest parts of the UK for 3 weeks - 17th July to 8th August. For us it will be a big physical, mental, and logistical challenge, as well as an opportunity to reconnect with wild nature after the restrictions of the past 18 months.
The pandemic has shown, more than ever, how important access to the natural world is for everyone - and yet nature has never been more in need of help. For this reason, we want to use our Journey for Wildness to raise both funds and awareness about the importance of wild places and their protection.
Dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places, the John Muir Trust works with communities to conserve, manage and care for wild land - helping to tackle issues such as the climate crisis and biodiversity loss.
Please support our Journey and help stand up for wild places! Any contributions, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.
