Story
Paul Is attempting to raise the final £75,000 required to enable the re-build of the Broughton sports pavilion. £525,000 has already been secured and this is the final hurdle required so work can start. The current building is irreparable, outdated and not fit for purpose as per the picture. It does not have female changing facilities or a disabled toilet. Despite this, the current pavilion supports 11 football teams, 85 cricket players and a variety of other sporting and social activities from age 4 up to 64 years old. The facility also supports many other varied village activities which benefit the local community including the village fete, fitness classes, motor pageant and an annual wider community firework display.
If we don't secure the £75 k the project will not happen.
On July 16th, Paul will be attempting to complete the toughest one day ultra-cycling race on the planet. It is 330km with over 8450m of ascent, starting in France and running through Italy and Switzerland and then back into France. It is roughly the equivalent of cycling from London to Manchester whilst cycling from sea level to the summit of Everest - all in 24 hours - Paul is targeting 14 hours! He has been training hard for this event for the past 9 months and is targeting a top 50 finish amongst the toughest pro am ultra racers in the world.
