Story
** UPDATE **
Bruce passed away a week after playing this show. Here is something written by a great friend of his.
‘Hard bastard’ is what comes to mind thinking of Bruce. If you ever had a lock in with him, a rehearsal, or just been stupid enough to debate him on something, you’ll know.
At his final gig, he truly looked like he was at death’s door. His upper arms were just bone. But his forearms were fuller, living. He had never stopped playing guitar. And somehow his shrunken frame supported that heavy bass he played, and played for a longer time than a dying man should have been able to.
I can’t think of anything more defiant than that performance. Bruce’s final stand. He went out just like he was. Hard, no bullshit. 100% Bruce. He rests in power. - Daragh Markham.
We will continue to keep this page open, as Macmillan Cancer Support remains a great cause, having helped Bruce, and continuing to help many others. Please continue to donate in Bruce’s memory, and to support anyone else who may need it.

As Bruce is hosting his birthday as a charity fundraiser gig at The Black Heart for Macmillan Cancer Support, a few of us thought that the best birthday gift we could offer him would be to try and raise as much money for his chosen charity, and present it to him at his show. Please, let's keep this as a surprise for him, so NO MENTIONING the JustGiving page ok!
So everyone, dig deep as we all know how important this gig and this charity is to Bruce, and share amongst his friends (or at least the ones that can keep a secret!) Gig info: Thursday 25th July 2019, The Black Heart 8pm.
Below is a bit of info on how donating to Macmillan via JustGiving works etc. Thanks!
