25 years ago I took part in the inaugural Totton triathlon in aid of Wessex Cancer Trust  in memory of my mother after losing her to cancer.

Since 1991 I have undertaken sporting challenges for worthwhile charities (mainly local) and have raised £225,000 and would appreciate as much support as possible to help me reach my goal of raising £250,000 over 25 years.

Fittingly, Waterside Cancer Support Centre (part of Wessex Cancer Trust) are building an extension to their centre and £20,000 will enable me to provide funds to fully equip the centre once built.

As an Ambassador for Rose Road Association I will be helping with the support of The Graham High Charitable Trust raise £5,000 to refurbish and regenerate the playground used by the Association's profoundly disabled children.

I am undertaking to swim 25 miles, run 250 miles and cycle 2500 miles for my 25th year of challenges.

My challenges through the  year will include :

A number of cycle sportive challenges to include the Stelvio Challenge in the Dolomites cycling 500 miles and 50,000 feet of climbs in a week, The Alpe D'Huez cycle challenge and Ride London

Run every week of the year

The Rose Road Corporate Triathlon

The conclusion of my challenges where I would like as many people to join me in celebration and their own challenge will be the Test Way 25 mile walk (or shorter family distance available) on Sunday 11th October

I have the support of family, friends, work colleagues and business and am grateful for the generous support of sponsors in helping me raise £10,000 towards my goal of £25,000 for 2015.
