Story
Over the next six months we are attempting to run/cycle/swim 6200km. This is the distance from Birmingham (where we all met at university) to Chicago, where our beloved friend Taryn is living at the moment.
In October Taryn lost her beautiful partner Ida to suicide. This year, like many others, Ida had been struggling with her mental health. Sadly, this is not uncommon for many LGBTQ people who face shame, exclusion and rejection from society and even their families.
We are 'travelling' the 6200km to remember Ida, to support Taryn and to raise awareness of mental health struggles by giving back to The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is a US 24-hour confidential suicide helpline for LGBTQ young people.
If you can, please support us with a donation to help us reach our goal. Feel free to join in too by doing your own run, swim or cycle and donating your Km’s - send us a message with the distance and we’ll add it to the tally.
Thank you so much for your support and keep looking after each other.
