Story

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.

22nd of January marks the beginning of Brunel Islamic Society’s Charity Week. This year, the Charity Week is dedicated to the heart-breaking Burma (Rohingya) crisis. As the world watches, Burma's Rohingya Muslims are being annihilated and killed. Thousands have been slaughtered in recent months. Mothers and their children have been burnt alive, while their menfolk have been tortured and killed. Over 600,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled to Bangladish where they desperately needs help and thousands of others are in their attempt to reasch Bangladesh. It is critical that we, the Brunel Campus, show our solidarity with the victims of the Rohingya Crisis by being as generous as possible, both with our money and with our time.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
'The blood of a Muslim is worth more than the Ka'aba and all of its surroundings.'
[Ibn Majah]

Alhamdulillah we raised over 5K during charity week and would like to make it 6K to support the heart breaking crisis of Rohingya peopel. So if you have't donated yeat please donate generously and save lives!

Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allaah, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve”

[al-Baqarah 2:261-262]
