We are a Children's Charity who raise money to improve the lives of local children

Story

Our brave, six-man team of climbers has succeeded in completing the daunting Three Peaks Challenge, scaling the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. And it was all done in the name of our fundraising foundation, Heartfelt, to raise money for childrens’ charity, The Pied Piper Appeal.

Brunsdon’s Neville Mills (event coordinator), Rob Minshull, Kevin House, Howard Beddoe and Kevin Parkhouse were joined on the adventure by Gary Little, Community Manager for Gloucester Rugby. Gloucester Rugby also kindly loaned a brand new, 17-seat mini-bus for the journey, which was driven in turn by Brunsdon’s three-man support team, Steve Tasker, Paul Baldwin and Dave Morman.

Having driven the 450 miles to Fort William, the team immediately tackled the 4,409 ft. Ben Nevis, coping with freezing mist on the summit. Then a 250 mile drive through the night to the 3209 ft. Scafell Pike in the Lake District where the team had to endure torrential rain, virtually zero visibility and losing their way during the climb. Then straight back in the mini-bus for the last leg of 220 miles to Wales and the 3,560 ft. assent of Snowdon, where the group were finally rewarded with clear skies, stunning views – and the realisation that they’d completed the trek with just 8 minutes to spare before the 24 hour deadline!

Well Done Lads!
