Running TWO half marathons in under six months time? ...

I'm going to be attempting to run my first half marathon in Cardiff in October 2018

...and then I'm going to do it all over again in Conwy in November!

It's all to raise money for the Cardiff & Vale Health Charity's "Team Haem" appeal.

The appeal aims to improve the services offered to, and experience of, blood cancer patients in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

I'm no stranger to blood cancer, as Leukaemia is a condition that has deeply my affected my family very recently.

Luckily for us, thanks to innovative new treatment and the constant marvel that is the NHS, this family member is now making steady, positive progress towards recovery.

I couldn't be more proud of them and more grateful to the staff and services they received.

So I thought: if they can beat Leukaemia, I can run 13 short miles, can't I?

...can't I?

I guess we'll see.

Please donate if you can, or if you fancy joining me on the day you can email fundraising.cav@wales.nhs.uk to sign up.
