Martlets is a charity that cares for people living through a terminal illness in and around Brighton and Hove. Our care is only free thanks to the generosity of local people. Every donation you make will help us change lives.

Story

Hello

My sister Siriol and I are walking 13 miles overnight through Brighton and Hove to raise money for the Martlets hospice.

The Martlets is a amazing organisation, largely supported by donations and volunteers. It provides help in lots of important areas that you may not expect: providing counselling by people who have experience that is hard to find anywhere else, advice on how to access other complicated services and benefits, daily specialist care at home, a friendly day centre - among many other things.

Most importantly of all they help to give people more choices about how they die.

Rachel, who died in November, was helped hugely by many people at the Martlets and her last years would have been much poorer had they not been there to support her and all of our family.

To make sure the next family who needs their help gets it -  please sponsor me now......I've left it quite late - which I'm sure won't suprise you -so push that donate button!

Thank you very much and see you soon
