Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This June I will be saddling up to ride the 54 miles from London to Brighton for the British Heart Foundation. I've decided to put my happy and healthy heart to good use and raise some money to help BHF research and prevent heart disease.
In the past I haven't had much luck with bikes. I've been a nervous cyclist ever since I flew over my handle bars on the way to a party (though I'm pleased to say that it didn't stop me from continuing to the party and self medicating pain relief in the form of cheap wine.) I also nearly lost a bike off the top of a boat into a canal. That same bike was later pinched from my garden, never to be seen again.
I'm borrowing my housemate's bike and helmet until I can afford/acquire one of my own, and I'll be taking baby steps like cycling the short ride to work and routes that I know very well until I build up my strength and confidence enough to venture further afield.
It would be hugely appreciated if you could support me by donating even the smallest amount to me or my team, who are hoping to raise over £1000 between us. Any free hints & tricks, massages, playlists, butt-cushions also welcome.
Thank you for your support,
Bryony
