BSCC Charity Ride 2020 · 5 December 2020

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Established 1893, Bristol South CC is one of Bristol's oldest cycling clubs. Keen to give something back to the community, every year the club runs a Charity Ride designed to raise funds for a cause with particular resonance amongst its members.

This year, I have had the privilege nominating the MS Society.

So here's my quick two-pence worth.

I was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago. Quite frankly, it's a bit of a pain.

Since then, I have had to lean heavily on the help, research and advice of non-charitable organisations.

Several examples spring to mind, but I am raising money for the MS Society, impressed by their involvement in research and trials, as well as they political weight which makes them well placed to influence change.
