Fighting Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer by maintaining the Barrett's Oesophagus registry (UKBOR), funding research and providing patient support. Early diagnosis and public awareness of Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer will help stem the steady increase of deaths in the UK.

Story

In the UK there could be three million people with Barrett's Oesophagus, a potentially pre-cancerous condition claiming the life of one person an hour.

Barrett's Wessex provides support and raises awareness of the condition in Southampton, Wessex and beyond. It doesn't fund research directly but passes those funds to Barrett's Oesophagus UK (BOUK) for which this page exists. Visit their site here: BarrettsOesophagusUK.org.

This page sends research donations via Barrett's Wessex to BOUK and will be used for maintaining the United Kingdom Barrett's Registry which enables research into the condition and it's management with the hope of finding cures and preventing deaths from oesophageal adenocarcinoma.
