Once again I’m shuffling around the countryside in the name of fundraising.
This time me and colleagues from Smart Energy GB are walking between Eastbourne and Brighton, a route longer than a marathon and with greater elevation gain than Snowdon.
We’ll be doing the walk on 14th October, so probably have 10+ hours of wind and rain to look forward to, but all for a good cause.
At SEGB our role in engaging with consumers about their energy behaviours and smart meters means we’re acutely aware of the devastating effect of the cost of living crisis.
I’m therefore fundraising for Feed the Hill, a food bank local to where I live which provides free weekly food boxes to anyone going hungry in our community, delivering these safely and free of charge.
A £5 donation buys two days' food for a family. A £20 donation - a week's food. £40 - two weeks' food. All donations will be used to support the people in Lewisham who need it the most.
