On Sunday 30th May, I'll be setting off on a big Cornish adventure, hiking 200 miles along the beautiful South West Coast Path from Bude down to Falmouth. To keep me going through the inevitable achy days, I've decided to use this as an opportunity to raise funds for a charity very close to my heart.

I started volunteering for the Wildlife Aid Foundation back in October, where I have the privilege of helping care for sick, injured and orphaned animals before they can be released back into the wild. Over the last 6 and a bit months, and throughout the third lockdown, the centre has become my haven - a little sanctuary of calm where I have the absolute delight of getting up close and personal with all sorts of amazing wildlife, from hand-feeding many a baby bird to giving fox cubs baths! 

The centre is now well into orphan season and set to get busier than ever, but as a charity it relies on the generosity of public donations to look after all these animals. There will always be wild animals in need and it warms my heart knowing that there is such a place who does all it can to help them, no matter how big or small. So this is just my way of helping ensure that this special charity can continue to do its incredible work, as well as giving back to somewhere that has given me so much in such a short space of time.
