I'm Ewan, a solicitor based at Buckles. I've worked in Nottingham for many years and I'm horrified at the amount of people who are homeless in Nottingham. I want to give something back to Nottingham and its fight to eradicate homelessness and am therefore doing something about it. 

I and my fellow sleepers had to spend a night outside to get
some sense of what it must be like for those far less fortunate than
most.  Ewan did manage to get a small amount of sleep and although it
wasn’t too cold, there was a bit of rain to contend with!

It wasn’t something I’d ever done before and I must admit to
being a bit nervous about it beforehand.  But just had to remind myself
that no matter how bad I thought it might be, it was going to be nothing
compared to those who have to go through worse every single night.

It may be a cliché but taking part did make me realise just
how lucky I am to have the things that so many of us take for granted – a bed every night, food on the table, heating.  It really does make you realise that these are things that should never be taken for granted, however bad things may appear.
