7 Days 1000 Burpees Challenge · 26 May 2020

Every day we strive to create a sustainable organization working to educate all of Kopila’s children until they are ready to enter the world as happy, skilled, confident, self-sufficient, and English-speaking adults. We believe we can serve as a model for quality education in Nepal. We will strive to provide our children with scholarships (should they choose to pursue higher education), and the skills required to enter the workforce. www.blinknow.org/donate

Story

As the whole world is coming to the terms with COVID-19 and as a proud "Nepali", I have felt that the current issues in Nepal should not be something we all should ignore. Right now due to the government imposed lockdown and restrictions, There are thousands of our fellow brother, sister, father, mother, uncle & aunty struggling to get back home from India. These people are stuck in Nepal-India border with no proper food, water, medical supplies nor a decent isolation and quarantine facilities. They are not even being allowed to buy food nor water too feed themselves with many having gone days without eating a proper meal.  These are the same hardworking people who make their hard-earned money just so that, their families back in Nepal can have a better life then what they could have in their lives. The way they are being treated given the protocols of the Nepal Government has been nothing short of abysmal.

BlinkNow is a reputable non-profit charitable organisation that operates a globally recognised school & children's home that is spearheaded by the ever-mesmerising Maggie Doyle(CNN Hero of the year 2015). And whilst her children's take the outmost priorities at any given situation, She has also taken a huge stride in ensuring the well-being of these people by providing them with food, water and medical supplies through her own cafeteria, local restaurants and shops. She is nothing short of a miracle worker, who gives her outmost for "Nepalese".

I am doing this challenge so that we all from far and abroad can support on her quest to stabilise the situation at the border and give these people a better hope of reaching home safely, into the loving arms of their beloved. I believe that if we can contribute towards a greater cause in fighting a novel virus for our NHS, then so can we towards our own people.

Your donation is helping:

* To buy food, water & medical supplies to distribute to thousands of our Nepali workers who are returning from India

*To provide a well sanitised isolating area ( Sleeping tents, sleeping system etc.)

*To provide COVID-19 test kit.

Our Nepali workers needs us more than ever. Please help the cause by contributing a small donation.

"Be humble and kind at any situation, the day we become arrogant is the day we lose out on humanity."
