Over the last five years BUDS has been proactive in giving advice and support to families who have a loved one with dementia. We operate 15 clubs around Sandwell for people with dementia who are picked up and transported to these clubs giving their family a short respite break while they attend the club. At present we have the use of a mini bus, which is on loan to us and we have to buy in additional transport which is quite expensive. With the expansion of the clubs we have need of another mini bus to meet the demand.
