Four York businesses -  Ashtons Estate Agents, Hethertons Solicitors, Yorvik Homes and Intandem Communications have joined forces with Build Africa’s ‘build a school’ programme to help build a local school in rural Kenya.

Our latest challenge is The Three Peaks of Yorkshire Challenge Walk on Saturday 30 May 2015.   Please join us.   The weather must be better this time!

Our 2014 challenge was the 170 mile Coast to Coast Bike Ride  6-8 June 2014. See our video in the gallery below.

We cycled 170 miles from Morecambe Bay in Lancashire to Bridlington in East Yorkshire in three days. We started in glorious sunshine on Friday morning cycled along the Lune Valley and then tackled our steepest hill on the route just after Settle to complete our first 50 miles. We battled through driving rain and storms on Saturday and had our hardest day of 60 miles with very hilly terrain and some steep climbs and descents in the Dales and Nidderdale in very wet weather. We had a great welcome from our friends and supporters on Saturday evening in York and then set off through Pocklington and across the Yorkshire Wolds to arrive in Bridlington 60 miles later on Sunday evening. It was an emotional moment when we arrived! Thank you to all our friends and supporters who have helped us.

Our fundraising activities began in 2013 with a charity walk - the Three Peaks of Yorkshire Challenge on Saturday 18 May.

We climbed Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in this order, within 12 hours in torrential rain and then enjoyed a celebratory barbecue at Horton in Ribblesdale

We also organised a Charity Ball at York Racecourse on Saturday 8 June 2013.

We had a fantasic evening at York Racecourse with a three-course dinner from award-winning York Racecourse Hospitality and live music from Family Funk, a soul and funk bank who performed for HRH Prince William's 21st birthday. There will also be a special auction with prizes kindly donated by the local business community.
