Today marks the 1 week anniversary of my sisters passing.
Within a week of starting this fundraising, our darling sister departed from this world on the 23rd of April. Aged 37 and leaving behind 2 young children.
Allah (swt) had blessed my sister in so many ways - she had left the world peacefully on the 11th day of Ramadan, the first day of Magfirah, a truly blessed day of the month that happened to fall on the blessed day of the week, Friday.
Thank you to everyone that took time out of their busy lives to make a sincere dua and donation for my sister and her children - Allah heard your duas and showed mercy and forgiveness to my sister. I am SO grateful and wholeheartedly appreciate all the love you have sent. May Allah (swt) bless you all with endless happiness and good health, grant you with beneficial sustenance, open all the doors of success and keep you forever in his providence. Ameen.
Please continue to share this page as we’ll be running it till the end of May to continue to collect for my sisters sadaqah jariyah. The fact that the fundraising began with a target of £570 (we surpassed that within 2hrs) has now reached 3k and is still growing, is a true reflection of the kind of impact my sister has had on you all but also shows us how incredible humans can be: when you purely intend to do good the outcome will only BE good, so THANK YOU 🙏🏽 May Allah bless you with tremendous courage to stand for humanity throughout your life. May Allah accept your prayers and bless you with patience, happiness and long age with taqwa. Ameen.
The most difficult part has now started, life without my sister. So please remember to keep us in your prayers, mainly my sisters children and her husband. Also my parents - no parents should ever have to bury their child and my god my parents have been UNBELIEVABLY strong through all this. May Allah (swt) grant them sabr and strength during this difficult time. Ameen. Even though Affa’s (my sister) left an irreplaceable ‘Affa shaped hole’ in my heart (in many hearts) I am content and in awe of how Allahs plans work and can only say Alhamdulillah because:
Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.
إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
“Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.”
