Keep nurses safe in the COVID-19 fight

Kaitlyn Baker is raising money for Community Home Health & Hospice

GivingTuesday · 1 December 2020

Your help is needed to protect nurses during this pandemic. A donation will help purchase masks and additional PPE to keep our nurses and staff safe as they care for vulnerable patients who are at high risk of getting and succumbing to COVID-19.

Story

The spread of COVID-19 has brought about sudden and difficult changes for everyone, and you can play an important role helping our community battle this disease on the front line. Our agency serves a highly-vulnerable population: the elderly, those with chronic conditions, and the dying. These patients have the highest risk of getting and succumbing to COVID-19. Our nurses, therapists, chaplains, social workers, and aides go into the community everyday caring for patients where they live to keep them in their homes and out of facilities. Our staff feel called to do this heroic work, but our agency doesnt want them to provide care without the equipment they need. Like most healthcare providers, we have a shortage of masks, gowns, gloves, and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) our staff need to provide care safely. Thats where you can help us: Consider making a contribution to our COVID-19 Crisis Assistance Fund. With all hands on deck, we will succeed and can make sure eve
