The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Hi Everyone

Firstly, thank you for taking time out to visit my fundraising page

Back in September I decided to start doing some exercise with a friend (Burnsy). We did some biking, running and gym work - and had a great time! (albeit very difficult after doing so little, for so long). We then agreed it would be great to do a Half Marathon and raise some money in the process for a really worthwhile cause. We have chosen Guide Dogs for the Blind and are looking to raise the £5000 required to sponsor a puppy.

We are upto 11 miles at present and training is going well. Our primary goal is to finish the race by running all the way, with no walking. Secondly it would be great to do this under 2 hours! We will keep training hard over the cold winter months!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Guide Dogs will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support and I will let you all know how we get on
