Story

Jett is a funny, friendly boy who - like a lot of boys his age - loves music, tractors, and dinosaurs. But Jett is very different to his friends in one way: He has Muscular Dystrophy. Although he tries not to let it stop him from living as normal a life as possible, this muscle wasting condition means he suffers from severe pain most days and faces an uncertain future. At the moment, there is no cure.

I see Jett at home with his family, jumping around to music, talking about his favourite animals, and smiling the biggest smile. But I also see him limping in constant pain at times, crying and angry, as well as wearing special boots he must wear to help delay the effects of Muscular Dystrophy.
The money raised by the Jett Pack will go predominantly towards research for a cure, something that may be possible in Jett's lifetime; it also goes towards providing for Jett's needs as he grows and his condition deteriorates.
Muscular Dystrophy UK have an ongoing campaign called 'Move A Mile For Muscles', and this has inspired me to attempt the most challenging mile I could think of - travelling burpees. After all, Jett can't do burpees, so it seems only fair I do a share for him too!
Furthermore, I'm also joining a team of 15 other Jett Pack supporters to undertake the demanding Total Warrior obstacle course race at Leeds on June 24th, taking it on as a team and helping many of them as they undertake such a challenge for the first time.
