BWP moves against dementia

BWP moves against dementia · 13 April 2021
With over 7,000 local people suffering from Alzheimer's, it's no surprise that many of us at BWP have been affected by this awful disease in some way.
This is our second year supporting the vital work that Alzheimer's Society does. This year we'd like to do something above and beyond the usual bake sales.
So we've committed that, as a team, we'll walk, run, cycle, swim and even sashay a total of 7,000km to raise funds for the charity. We're aiming to complete this by the end of September, which is World Alzheimer's month.
With varying levels of fitness, this will be a big challenge for some of us more sedentary types. To help us along the way, we'll be entering teams into some organised events like Tough Mudder and the Colour Run as well as racking up our individual weekly totals.
Please do give generously to help us help Alzheimer's Society in transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, the charity will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
