We provide wigs to children with cancer to restore their confidence and identity.

Story

We are Sarah and Lauren, sisters and founders of leading skincare brand By Sarah London, and we are donating our ponytails to The Little Princess Trust as part of the #bysarahponytailchallenge.

On Tuesday 15 September, Andrew Barton, celebrity hairdresser and creative director of Headmasters, will be cutting our ponytails which we've been growing all summer.

It costs £550 to make one wig for a child who has lost their hair to cancer and so we have the fundraising target of £1,100 to recoup the cost of the charity making two wigs from our hair donations and we'd love your help to reach this target.

This charity is very close to our hearts and is why we are delighted to be Ambassadors.

When Lauren was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in 2012, she knew that she was going to lose her hair. She made the brave decision to donate her hair before it was too late, so that a little girl with cancer could enjoy the long, blonde hair that she had.

Fast forward to today and, as an act of gratitude and defiance in the face of adversity, we will both be donating our hair.

What a journey it's been and I'm sure the hair cut with Andrew will trigger many memories of that day in Lauren's hospital room.

Thank you for your generosity as we support the incredible work of the Little Princess Trust.
