Colombia Lost City - Amnesty International UK · 1 August 2022 to 31 August 2022 ·

Amnesty International UK is partnering with Choose a Challenge on the Colombia Lost City Challenge at University of Plymouth.

Story

I am raising money for the Amnesty International UK Charitable Trust by taking part in the Colombia Lost City Challenge with the University of Plymouth. Over 9 days I will trek through the rainforest to visit Ciudad Perdida (the 'lost city') with its maze of raised terraces and stone paths and experience a guided tour of this beautiful architectural marvel. You'll be supporting Amnesty International UK, a grassroots organisation campaigning for justice and human rights wherever they have been denied. For more information on their work, go to www.amnesty.org.uk/issues. Their campaigning includes issues such as: Climate Change - Human rights are intimately linked to the climate crisis. Global warming harmfully impacts our rights, including the right to life, health, food, water, housing and livelihoods. Women's rights - Human rights are basic rights that every person on the planet should be entitled to but many are routinely denied to women and girls.
