A few months ago, I heard about a little girl named Edith who had been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive and inoperable brain tumor. Worse, there was no treatment available in this country- her only hope was to fly to Mexico to pay privately for treatment. (The full story is here - https://spider-ede-appeal.org.uk) Even though I didn't know her and had never met her I knew I had to do something to try to raise money towards helping her get the treatment she needs.I decided not long ago that I would do a sponsored run- which is a big step for me considering I'm so horribly unfit I get out of breath walking a few minutes up a short hill to catch my train to work in the morning! I decided to push myself to get to a 5k race as soon as I could so that I could raise the money as soon as possible- I may not get a lot but I hope that I can help in some small way.... so please sponsor me to help give this little girl a fighting chance!
