Story

Thank you for visiting ourJust Giving page. We are Team Young At Herts. We are racing the sun around the Isle of Wight to help Action Medical Research fund groundbreaking research to help find answers. Answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children and their parents face. 61,000 babies are born prematurely each year in the UK. Globally it's the biggest killer of children under five.

1 in every 225 births is a stillbirth—a baby born dead after 24 completed weeks of pregnancy. That’s around 3,400 babies dying every year, or 9 every day, on average in the UK.

In recent months Our nephew Shawn came into the world a sleeping Angel, perfect and beautiful. Grief and distress replaced what should have been a joyous event for parents Heidi and George 💙 More needs to be done in the prevention of stillbirths and improve the bereavement support for parents.

So we've joined the challenge In Memory of Shawn and all Angel babies. Will you join us and help us reach our fundraising target? Together we can help fund vital research into still and premature births.
