My sister Helen passed away in June 2010. Helen lived in Gloucester and was instrumental in setting up Gloucestershire Young Carers some 19 years ago and led it from strength to strength, today helping over 600 young carers and their families in the county.

I will be riding 180 miles (off-road) coast to coast from Whitehaven to Scarborough in support of GYC's Helen's Bursary trust fund which supports young carers with grants aimed at reducing the financial obstacles to going on to further education. 

I am really very pleased to be able to take on this challenge to help raise money for this fund.
