Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hey guys, I am cycling 150 miles in one day, coast to coast, on the 24th June to raise money for www.addisons.org.uk.

My sister nearly died due to an Addisonian crisis because of how long it took to diagnose. This is because Addison’s disease is a rare condition. It is a chronic endocrine system disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce sufficient steroid hormones, resulting in a lifetime of taking medication and care.

The main issue surrounding this disease is the lack of awareness, even in the medical profession, which can have severe consequences if it goes untreated.

Therefore this challenge is of great importance to me to raise awareness of this rare illness.

Please donate what you can, every little helps (as Tesco like to say).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity
