Story
This year the Domingues hosted 2 children from a group of children flown over from Belarus. This proved to be just the tonic for them as their lives have been blighted by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Whilst they were here they took part in an action-packed programme of events organised by the Tynedale link to the Chernobyl Children Lifeline charity. They enjoyed: horse riding, canoeing , cycling, swimming, visiting local museums and not so popular a visit to the Dentist!
It is estimated the month-long visit to the district will add at least two years to the children’s 30-year life expectancy, thanks to the respite from the background radiation levels that still affect their country.
A group of us are doing the coast to coast cycle ride (130 miles) and I am doing the Great North Run (13 miles) at the end of the month. If you could sponsor for both events that would be great.
The coast to coast ride consists of me, Richard Martin, Ian Ferrier and Alan O' Reilly. Ian, Richard and Alan have never cycled over the hills in the lake district or the Pennine Hills so the ride will prove to be an interesting challenge.
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us and our legs!
Many thanks for your support.
