We bring health care and education to people living in poverty in Kenya

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The children of Funzi and Bodo in Kenya are under serious threat from cholera. An outbreak in the area is claiming lives and the Funzi and Bodo Trust is acting directly to deal with the outbreak.

The Funzi and Bodo Trust has already built a school and a clinic there, but the recent outbreak has forced them to fund more medical staff and to open up new rooms to treat the victims of cholera. I am cycling from Coast to Coast across England to raise money for the trust's work.

Setting off from Whitehaven in Cumbria on June 23rd I reached the opposite coast at Sunderland on June 25th after completing 143 miles through the Lake District and over The Pennines. You can follow my progress on my Rising Dawn blog

We have over 10 years of experience of working in the villages of Bodo and Funzi in Kenya where people lack basics like sanitation. We have built schools, medical clinics and brought clean drinking water. We help villagers start businesses to feed their families and end the cycle of poverty.
