C4I Charity Run · 30 June 2021

An independent charity that supports serving RAF personnel by enabling them to take part in sports and physical activities at all levels. We want everyone in the RAF to have access to sports facilities, equipment, and training and through our support we help to safeguard their health and wellbeing.

Story

C4I Squadron at RAF Lossiemouth are taking on a marathon challenge, with teams of up to 5 taking on a total distance of 50km (31 miles). This isn’t your standard run, though – it’s certainly no walk in the park, or pounding of the pavements – much more of a tough mudder style experience!
Each leg will be 10km (6.2 miles) of the toughest terrain the Moray Coast Trail has to offer, including a 30m (100ft) ascent or descent of a sandy coastal cliff; an undulating trail through gorse bushes; and a maze of long grass and sand dunes. There’s always the chance that the fine Scottish weather will bring its own challenges, with high likelihood of a strong cross-wind battering all those on the course.

So please dig deep to spur on our hardy teams and support the very worthy cause of the RAF Central Fund, who provide much needed support for RAF serving personnel’s’ health and wellbeing.
