THREE PEAKS 24 HOURS ......Success......!! THANK YOU ALL
Well, We did it! Completed the three in 22 hours 25 minutes.
Ben Nevis started off warm and sunny and the team took just over 5 hours to complete. There was a good deal of snow on the top and the midges were horrendous!
The drive overnight down to Scafell was long and the team tried to rest up. The support team kept Gary the Driver awake with chat but mainly Haribos.
The climb at Scafell started around 03:40am and the team completed this in a fantastic 3 1/2 hours. Support team tried to get some well-earned sleep. Tori did well, but snored and kept the others awake!
A quick bacon butty later and the Minibus was on its way to Snowdonia. Arrived around 12:00 and the walkers were ushered out at Pen-y-pass. Support team then took up position in the Victoria Hotel in Llanberis with a well-earned shandy.
A couple of hours later and the crackle of the Walkie Talkies announced that Mountain Beaver wanted to inform Gary the Slug (down in Llanberis with a shandy) that the summit had been conquered at 22 hours 25 minutes. The team made their way down to the bottom for a hearty Champagne celebration.
Later in the Hotel there was less partying than anticipated due to total exhaustion, however, Lucy and Steve managed to stay up with tequila until about 01:00!!
Thanks to every person that sponsored us and wished us well, we have raised some money for a charity wholly dependent on the generosity of the public. For many of us this was a personal challenge and your support made the difference to reaching those own goals.

To all
Alongside the challenge and the teambuilding that the 3 Peaks Challenge will provide, we have also decided that we wanted to raise money for a cause that often gets little press but saves countless of lives every year.
We started by aiming to raise a £1000 for the Arran Mountain Rescue Team, however your generosity so far exceeded this in the first 24 hours! Thanks!!! So we are going to push for £3000 There are many people who have had their lives saved by the MRT's which are run by brave and selfless volunteers in most cases.
A group of C&W employees, on business in Arran last September needed the MRT, as one of our colleagues Graham McPhie, fell from Goats Fell. The speed and expertise of the Arran MRT were wonderful, and although Graham was left with serious neck and back injuries, he has made a full recovery; and has returned to work on the 9th January.
We have been fortunate that many people have sponsored equipment to us - Thanks to the Howarth Brothers In Royton for giving us a vehicle http://www.howarthbros.com to C&W for supplying walking gear and food, and also to AM Repair Service Ltd for supplying Petrol pennies, without their generosity we would be unable to raise as much money.
Please can we ask you to Dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor the Arran Mountain Rescue Team who will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
