Venezuela is our home.

Unfortunately we are going through rough times. The current crisis has led vast majority of our country into poverty, hunger and distress.

On our personal situation, we find ourselves having to buy groceries and medicines (from what legitimately available online) and ship them to Venezuela, this is just insane. Every month we head to Wallmart website, buy everything by bulks and then ship the order to a PO Box in Miami, and from there it set sale to Venezuela's custom. If we are lucky, the military would leave our package intact although sometimes this has not been the case.

All in all this process could take up to 1 month and a half, for our families to receive anything

We used to send money back home so our families could at least buy
products (despite of exorbitant prices). But this is no longer an option, as economic decisions made by the government led to a critical deterioration of the private and public industries on all sectors, resulting in shortage of even basic goods such as milk, flour, sugar, eggs, etc; Thus, is pointless to have cash if there is nothing to be bought.

We are doing everything within our reach to help our family, our friends, our home. We are going to run this 10K with pleasure and will be looking to do more in the future.
