Story
KM for Cadán
Our gorgeous baby boy Cadán was born in 2015 with a very rare heart condition, in turn this brought other complications to Cadán’s short but precious life. Cadán spent 13 days in ICU in Crumlin Children’s Hospital under the care of the most amazing doctors and nurses who are the reason so many children in Ireland are healthy and well but also the reason why so many parents & families are able to cope and get through their toughest times. They help you when you feel helpless, heal you with their love and compassion but most importantly change you - change your whole outlook on life for the absolute better. Cadán was given every chance thanks to the equipment and facilities that were available to him while in ICU. Every single person, I’m sure, knows of a child & their families who have experienced the incredible support & care this hospital gives to everyone who walks through their doors...
For the last 4 years myself & my troops have done the mini marathon for Cadán, to give back to the ICUnit which was ultimately Cadán’s home. This year on Saturday June 20th myself & a group of amazing ladies will be covering 2000 kilometres within 24 hours in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital. (We will be doing this following the government guildlines at the time). All donations are so appreciated.
Cadán is and always will be a very special little boy who has left nothing but love, strength & hope behind.
Thank you for reading and/or supporting us, always x
