Story

Nick, Catherine, Matthew and Chris are walking the Peak District Challenge 50km on 13th July for Alzheimer’s! Please help and donate to motivate us to complete the walk.

All of us are or have been affected by Alzheimer’s. We have seen the people we love turn into a shadow of their former selves, whilst they’re still there in their expressions or behaviours they show it’s hard to see the decline in someone you love. What’s important to all of us is that we’re still there for them and make the time to go and see them.

Whilst Catherine, Matthew and Chris can walk a good 10/15 miles with little challenge, Nick on the other hand has perfected his 2-minute walk to the pub next door to his house. Therefore, some of us need more training than others!

Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated and let’s contribute to beat this disease.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
