We work with people to connect & create social change

Story

Platfform is a registered charity that has been working in mental health for over 30 years. Our mission is to be a platform for connection, transformation, and social change and our vision is sustainable wellbeing for all.  We are part of a growing social movement seeking to redefine the way we understand and respond to distress. We are working with partners to achieve the transformation in public services needed to make sustainable wellbeing an opportunity for all.

In our work for Platffom, we see every day the way that mental health affects lives and how access to the right support can change a life. Our inspiration for this challenge is raising awareness, not just of mental health issues but also of the fantastic work our organisation offers. We want to make more people aware of the support we offer so we can reach more people when they need us.

We are going to complete the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge on 28th April 2023.

The Three Peaks of Wales: Snowdon in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, Pen y Fan in the south. The walk includes a total walking distance of 17miles (27.4km) and an ascent of 2334 metres (7657ft), to be completed in 24 hours or less.

Our team will be raising money for Platfform's Caerphilly Community Services Team and greatly appreciate all sponsorship that we receive.

We will be completing monthly training walks and will post regular updates of our progress.

Thank you for all the support!

The Caerphilly Team,

Molly, Rachel, Owain, Rob, Rhys, Phil, Ella, Daniel, Megan and Lee
