In January 2011 I shall be pulling on the lycra and braving the desert heat by cyclng 1,200 miles from Cairo in Egypt to Khartoum in the Sudan.  I am raising funds for War Child who are a small international charity that protects children living in the world's most dangerous war zones.  This is particularly poignant in light of the recent history of Sudan's civil war and the conflict in the Darfour region.

War Child's current projects include helping children deal with  insecurity, poverty and exclusion in Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda so please dig deep and donate now.
