Story

As most of you know, our little boy Ralphy was born premature, thankfully he is thriving and getting stronger every day. This is all thanks to the amazing neonatal care he received both in Arrowe Park & Whiston hospital.
Ralphy & I will be walking 100 miles in September to raise money for Bliss.

On average parents travel 27 miles to visit their premature or sick baby in neonatal care - with some families travelling over 100 miles. With access to neonatal units restricted over COVID-19 pandemic, the barriers which prevented parents being with their baby were even greater. New research from Bliss reveals parents are 70% more likely to say they found it difficult to bond with their baby if the neonatal unit where their baby was being cared for had put time limits in place, as part of COVID-19 parent access restrictions.Bliss know that babies have the best outcomes if their parents are able to be actively involved in their care. Your donation will help Bliss continue their work breaking down barriers stopping parents from being able to care for their babies on the neonatal unit.
