Caitlin's 250,000 steps for Scottish Care & Information On Miscarriage

250,000 steps for Scottish Care & Information On Miscarriage · 31 March 2021
Every year in the UK 250,000 pregnancies end in miscarriage. In 2016 my own pregnancy was one of those. I was 22, terrified, confused and incredibly traumatised - and I was offered no therapy or aftercare.
I turned to Scottish Care & Information On Miscarriage for their pay-what-you-can counselling service and I can honestly say that they saved my life. Their mission is to provide counselling for people and couples in Scotland "who have suffered miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal loss".
I wanted to give something back to such a vital service, and so in March I will walk 250,000 steps to remember the babies who don't make it here, raise money for the service that was invaluable to my partner and I at the hardest point in our lives, and to remember my own baby whose birthday would have been in March had the circumstances been different.
I really appreciate any donation to a cause that is so personal to Derek and I, thank you x
